Net worth tracking

Ever since I read ‘Secrets of a millionaire mind’ I was inspired to track my net worth monthly and meticulously budget each month.  Net worth simply means the value of everything you own of value minus anything you owe. I’ve found that, since I’ve started recording it monthly, it has been increasing every month.   I like to think that, every time I make a financial decision, my subconscious mind is saying ‘remember what the calculations will add up to on the first of the month.’  Here is the link to the sheet I use to track my net worth : http://www.millionairemindbook.com/media/NetWorthTrackingBookBonus.pdf In a fortnights time I’ll tell you about a book that changed my perception on making money...

From a C in A level Geography to a million pounds?

You may be asking yourself; what is this nonsense that Matt has sent me now? The answer to that is an idea that came out of a night with friends, a few drinks and a lengthy discussion about money. First of all I must give credit to the name of this blog to my close friend Ollie Trigg who said he would love to see my journey from almost failing an A level to making a million pounds documented in some form and so, here we are. To anyone that knows me even remotely it will come as no surprise that I love making money and not just that but I seek to gather it in any shape or form possible. I like to think of myself as having some entrepreneurial spirit and money awareness rather than 'money - obsessed' which I have been called in the past. Anyway, the main purpose of this blog will be to highlight my journey to my first million pounds which I want to achieve by the age of 35. Yes, being 20 that only gives me 15 years so I guess I better stop writing this blog and go get growing m

No risk Matched Betting

There's no denial that if I was working a full time job instead of getting into 30k of debt at University then I would be on my way to 1 million a lot quicker but a degree is a lifelong investment and it also doesn't have to massively impact my progress in my journey. Today's blog is about one of my side hustles at uni; Matched Betting. The word 'betting' has so many bad connotations around it but matched betting really isn't betting at all because there is absolutely no risk taken when doing it and therefore no gambling aspect to get addicted to. The only way you can come out with less money than you put in is down to human error itself but this can be minimised by making sure you follow guides correctly and do not do it when you're very tired. Now I could sit here and try and explain what matched betting is but the website Oddsmonkey would definitely do a better job at it than me so here's their link as well as a promo code which will give you 12 day
