After a few weeks Matched Betting has taken me around £500 (0.05%) of the way to my goal, so there's a long way to go. Todays blog is about another side hustle I like to do now and again in my free time: Flipping.
The basic idea is to find products/items cheap or for free and then sell them on for a higher price than you bought them for. In my case I tend to favour free goods, mainly electronics as I have a friend who is good at fixing those sort of things. I source them, mainly on Facebook marketplace, he fixes them up and then we sell them on Ebay for a profit.
Below are some photos of two flips I have done in the last few months. The first photo is a Cex Order for an xbox 360, controller and racing wheel which sold for £67 and was bought for a grand total of £0 (minus a little bit of fuel to pickup). The other photos are the process described above, finding a free monitor, fixing it and selling it on Ebay. For maybe an hours work, we received £96 and I took around half of that.
All in all, for a few minutes a day scrolling Facebook marketplace, gumtree or Ebay, there is profit to be made and these two sales alone have taken me another £100 closer to my target...
